Jesse Peretz is an Emmy-nominated director, producer and creator, best known for hit series including Glow (Netflix), Shrill (Hulu) and Girls (HBO). His latest show, City on Fire, premiered on Apple TV in May 2023. In this conversation, Jesse reflects on group meditations while filming Girls, the role meditation has played in his creative achievements, and why — despite sounding a bit cliché — he believes everyone can benefit from meditating.
